Blogging for...

Blogging has definitely changed the way in which we share our views and opinions. It has become a great way for me to share my interests and my views with the world. It has also become a great way for ideas to be expressed in the most creative of ways. The use of images, videos and other multimedia have allowed me to creatively describe my continued interest in cooking as therapy.

It would help in other classes if instructors used blogs as a way for students to discuss class topics. Blogs are more complex than simple discussion boards and will allow for complete creative control by the student.

I will definitely continue the use of my blog as I have enjoyed expressing my opinions and sharing parts of my daily life. It has opened my eyes to a whole new form of social media where I can have total creative control and hopefully, make some money too!

Holiday Menu Planning

The time is here again! Holiday season is upon us and its time for me to start planning my dishes. I enjoy trying new dishes and sharing them with family and friends. Plus, the more I feed people, the less food I eat myself!

Here are a few of my favorite recipes to try this year:

I can't wait to try them all!

So... I found this video

Found this YouTube video today that definitely expressed my feelings for cooking...Its actually kind of funny too...His voice is hilarious!!!

Inspiration=Pinterest

I truly believe the internet was created for Pinterest to be born! It has changed my life for sure and sparked creativity in those that thought that they could never have it. Its my go to place for ideas, especially for recipes. Be careful, you can get lost and your day's to do list may definitely go to shreds! LOL!

Feel free to check out my Pinterest page to get some awesome ideas and recipes!

Weeknight Dinners- Binge Cooking!!

Busy schedules don't really allow for much cooking. I work full-time (no set schedule) and take 6 classes but I enjoy cooking so much that I have to make time for it. I would love to make elaborate meals every day of the week, but there are only 24 hours in a day and Atlanta traffic usually takes up about 3 hours of my free time everyday. I have come up with a way to get my "food therapy"  at least once a week. I pick one night, either Tuesday or Wednesday, grocery shop and then cook until I cant cook anymore. One one night, I will make at least four to five dinner mix and match combinations that allow me to grab meals throughout the week. It allows me to save time and money, while getting my cooking thrill.

Here are some of the dishes I made on a "binge" a few weeks back:
  • Rosemary roasted chicken thighs
  • Blackened tilapia
  • Steak Fajitas
  • Cilantro lime ribeye steaks
  • Lemon pepper and blackened shrimp
  • Sauteed green beans and mushrooms
  • Herb angel hair pasta with tomatoes
  • Roasted garlic red potatoes
  • Cheese and garlic scalloped potatoes
  • Broccoli and cheese bake
Hey, what can I say? I love cooking even more than eating! Its like creating a masterpiece all your own. Can't wait until next week's binge!
